Court Case

Uczniowie klas 2 i 3 naszego liceum zostali zaproszeni przez Uniwersytet Marii Curie-Skłodowskiej, do wzięcia udziału w amerykańskim  pokazowym procesie sądowym. Proces odbywał się w języku angielskim.

Krótkie sprawozdanie napisane przez Tobiasza i Dawida:

UMCS, ran a court case regarding domestic violence in Utah in the United Sates of America. The court case was regarding an underage female terminating her pregnancy in the state where abortion is illegal. The court was ran buy Professor Marshal, who was the Judge and student of the university.
On the first day of the proceedings they questioned the victim. On the following days there were numerous witnesses from whom we learned about the victims ordeals and health issues. We also heard from other witnesses connected to the case. On the last day, the doctor who was charged with the crime, was acquitted.
The court case lasted three days, it was an interesting experience for us at the Montessori High School, it also showed us a good example of how the American law system works. We would like to thank UMCS for allowing us to participate in this event.
